Hi! I’m Francesca. I help people with chronic pain, autoimmune disease, and chronic illness get strong and feel capable and awesome.
Before I was a trainer, I worked for ten years as a motorcycle mechanic. During that time I was struggling with my own personal pileup of chronic pain, chronic illness, and binge eating disorder.
For a long time I called myself “mystery sick.” I’d get so sick I’d be bedridden for weeks or months at a time. Sometimes my joints would hurt so much that I couldn’t stand or walk, so I’d have to crawl. I spent a long time going to doctors for help, but was often dismissed outright or told “adjust to a new normal.” It was incredibly frustrating to feel like years of my life were going by without me. For all the doctors appointments I went to, there was very little guidance on how to actually be able to DO things while working with a body that’s struggling. And not being able to do anything I loved absolutely sucked.
Even though I’m chronically ill, I want to be doing things as much as I reasonably can. I love dancing, roller skating, and lyra (aerial hoop). I want to be outside running around and riding motorcycles, lifting weights and going on adventures (and not flaring for weeks after).
It took a long time and (so many) mistakes, but I figured out how to work with my body and my illnesses. Despite having endometriosis, fibromyalgia, and lupus, I was able to bring what I loved back into my life in a way that made it worth living.
My goal now is to help people who were struggling like I was, so they don’t have to suffer alone like I did. I want my clients to feel capable and strong and awesome, and do the things they never imagined their bodies would let them.
If this resonates and you’d like to know more, let’s schedule a call. I’d love to get to know you!
